IWM developed a solution in partnership with our customer, winding 12 bobbins simultaneously. The machine automatically makes complex wire teminations onto plastic pins on the bobbin, and then uses pneumatic scissors to cut the leads within 0.5mm of the bobbin.

During winding the operator can load the next set of empty bobbins into a loading bar. At end of the cycle these are exchanged for the wound set, optimising the winding cycle to 28 seconds for each set of 12 parts.
