Description
The EZ-H5 is a floor standing style heavy duty wire tensioner.
Suitable for wires 0.9 to 5mm in diameter.
For maximum stability, provision has been made to enable this unit to be bolted to the floor. The wire is perfectly guided as it leaves the supply spool, through clips with soft felt pads and a set of adjustable pulleys. This provides the desired pre-tension according to the thickness of the wire and without damage to the insulation.
The brake pulley is controlled by two brakes with independent pneumatic regulation for each.
One of the brakes regulates the tension that is to be applied to the wire while winding and the other brake has a servo-control to maintain this tension as constant as possible, depending on the form of the coil being wound. The pneumatic regulation is made by means of two pressure regulators (one for each pneumatic cylinder) which are housed in the control box. The height of the de-reeling cone can be adjusted on the column to suit the supply spool height.
The control box is provided with pressure indicators and a wire tension release switch, which allows the wire to run freely for
termination, and it may be situated anywhere on the winding machine for convenience of operation.
